Macao Film and Television Industry Service Centre commences trial operation today providing consultation and referral services to the industry

MACAU, September 1 - In order to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Macao’s film and television talent and the Chinese Mainland, the Cultural Affairs Bureau has established the Macao Film and Television Industry Service Centre, which commences trial operation today. By providing consultation and referral services, the Centre aims to assist the film and television industry in effectively connecting with the Chinese Mainland, promote industrial integration and market expansion, foster more opportunities for exchanges and cooperation between the film and television industries of Macao and the Chinese Mainland, and support the industry’s integration into the overall development of the country.

The Macao Film and Television Industry Service Centre begins its trial operation today at the Cultural Affairs Bureau Building. Its services include assisting to provide employment information and job referrals related to the film and television industry in the Chinese Mainland; providing guidance and relevant information on company registration procedures for film and television companies intending to conduct business in the Chinese Mainland; offering practical information on relevant policies, regulations and copyright protection for projects intending to carry out film and television filming or distribution in the Chinese Mainland; assisting Macao’s film and television projects intending to participate in Chinese Mainland film festivals in obtaining information; providing information on filming permit applications, public screening classification and assessment, and the organisation of film and television-related activities in Macao; as well as organising briefings on Chinese Mainland’s policies and industry exchange activities.

In addition, in order to assist the industry in connecting with resources in the Chinese Mainland, the Centre will establish a cooperation mechanism with the Guangdong Film and Television Comprehensive Service Platform, providing the industry with in-person enquiries, online enquiries and organising industry activities.

To provide efficient services to the film and television industry, industry members are required to make an appointment by email or telephone and provide the preliminary details of their enquiry.
